British Swimwear Brand Rebrands to Isabelle Meira
Isabelle Alexander launched Capri Swimwear in 2020 which quickly became a brand with a global presence, selling in boutiques in dreamy locations across Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico. The brand proudly won Sustainable Business of the Year award by Women’s Business Club and voted ‘Ones to Watch’ by Drapers.
However at the end of 2024, the company decided to rebrand due to trademarking difficulties and decided to take on the huge task of changing the brand name to Isabelle Meira. The brand continues to create the highest-quality styles that its customers love yet transition to bring a new feel.
Founder Isabelle shares: ”Our rebranding has been overwhelming but I am now very excited for this new chapter. We have a new collection coming in February so it feels like the perfect time for a fresh start. Rest assured that our core values still remain the same and we will continue to bring high-quality, eco-conscious products that our customers love”.
With a love for travel, Isabelle believes that having high-quality, flattering pieces in these moments is key for confidence and ultimately happiness on the beach or by the pool. She grew up with a passion for swimwear and developed a keen eye for fit from her mother, who always worked in the swimwear industry as a product developer. It was a no-brainer when she wanted to start an eco-conscious business by working together to create something special.
Based in the U.K, Isabelle Meira is an all female, family-ran business with over 40 years experience in the fashion and swimwear industry. All of their pieces are consciously handcrafted in limited quantities and designed with incredible attention to detail.
The brand continues to evolve and grow with Isabelle Meira’s official first collection called Wild Tides launching in February this year. Wild Tides is a capsule collection based on a luxurious mocha shine fabric and animal print.
Isabelle says: “I think this collection may be my favourite yet as I love the styles and how versatile they are. It all came together so perfectly and has been a lot of fun to create. We chose the name Wild Tides due to the animal print and that the sea in Barbados was so rough when we were doing the photoshoot. It all added to the narrative of untamed beauty and refined style”.
Keep your eyes on Isabelle Meira in 2025 as it is set to be an exciting one for this emerging British brand.
Long-time customer Emily says: “I’ve always admired Capri Swimwear’s quality and designs. I’m excited to see what Isabelle Meira has in store!”
